If you don’t understand the gravitational pull of an MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game), I’m going to enlighten you with just a dozen words: You get to pick what you look like and what your talents are.

What could be more seductive than that, the ability to turn in all of the cards you were dealt at birth and draw new ones from a face-up deck? I remember being a chubby teenager with bad skin and astigmatism and pants that didn’t fit quite right.
